Assistant Project Manager

About this role

Within the Telecom Services BU, Project Management & Support Services Team, reporting to the Program Director, as part of a dedicated customer team.

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for running internal tools, training the operations and maintenance team, ensuring accurate and timely data population, and managing reporting to end customers. This role involves gathering feedback from customers and addressing remarks internally to progress the project delivery.

Based in Riyadh, KSA (full time) with some travel within KSA.

Key responsibilities

  1. Internal Tools Management. Operate and maintain internal project management tools. Ensure tools are used effectively to support project activities.
  2. Training. Conduct training sessions for the operations and maintenance team on the use of internal tools. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for team members.
  3. Data Management. Ensure that all data is accurately and timely populated in the internal tools. Monitor data quality and implement necessary corrections.
  4. Reporting. Full responsibility for planning, updating, and maintaining the project plan using MS-project. Prepare and manage reports to be presented to end customers. Ensure reports are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time.
  5. Customer Feedback and Action. Gather feedback from end customers regarding project progress and deliverables. Address and action customer remarks internally to enhance project delivery. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
  6. Project Support. Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and budget. Coordinate and liaise with various departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in project management and field support.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and techniques. Very good knowledge of MS-project.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills

  • Arabic native speaker + fluent in written & spoken English.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
  • Experience in training and support roles.
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting tools
  • Professional knowledge of MS-Project.
