The Cloud Delivery Manager is a crucial leadership role within Bexprt.

You’ll work alongside our Head of Business Operations, Head of Engineering, and the CTO, to shape cloud strategy, drive innovation, and lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects across sectors It’s a senior level role based out of Cairo and will require frequent travel to Saudi, and occasionally the UK. (The role could also be based out of Saudi Arabia.)

As Cloud Delivery Manager, you will oversee the innovation and successful delivery of cloud professional services projects. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of cloud solutions and services, ensuring they meet the organization’s objectives and adhere to industry best practices.

This role reports to the CTO.

Location: Cairo, Egypt. (Or, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.)

Key responsibilities

• Lead Delivery Services: Lead and manage the delivery of cloud projects, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Managed Services Handoff: Work closely with Managed Services Lead to ensure a smooth handover for projects including support services.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams, to understand project requirements, establish clear communication channels, and manage expectations.
• Pre-Sales support: Work with Pre-Sales architect and Sales team to respond to RFPs, tenders or close new opportunities, with high confidence of ability to win and successfully deliver.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of cloud professionals, including cloud architects, support engineers, and cloud engineers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to technical leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within their teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in cloud professional services. Identify opportunities to optimize existing cloud solutions, streamline processes, and drive efficiency gains.

Qualifications and skills

Must have,

• Proven experience in managing the delivery of cloud-based projects and operational (managed) services.
• Proven ability to assess team skills and develop a strategic competency plan that aligns with current and future business requirements.
• Expertise in developing detailed project schedules and risk mitigation strategies to guarantee successful delivery outcomes within scope
• Responsible for reviewing solution architecture to ensure it adheres to AWS Well-Architected best practices and is pragmatically designed for successful delivery and long-term support.
• Acts as the key liaison between architecture and delivery teams, ensuring that proposed solutions are both technically sound and operationally viable.
• Demonstrated ability to assess technical architecture for its impact on delivery, including resource planning, skill requirements, and operational processes, to guarantee a smooth implementation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and tools (Slack, Jira).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
• Solid understanding of security principles, compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, PDPL), and data protection practices in the cloud.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
